Mona understands that food is so much more than nutrition and hydration and works hard to make meals a big part of the wellbeing strategy.  The menu is always person centred and there is a big emphasis on customer feedback and suggestions.  Mona works in partnership with the care team to ensure that meals preferences and dietary requirements are part of individual care plans and are regularly reviewed. 

 

THE COMPLEX CARE AWARD

Stride Team, Proudfoot Care Group

Proudfoot Care support adults with complex mental health diagnosis such as Schizophrenia, EUPD, Bipolar, Korsakoffs and addiction as part of their recovery and reablement.  The team work hard together to overcome challenges and prevent hospital re-admission.  The go above and beyond their job descriptions to promote recovery,  independence and positive outcomes.  The work they undertake can be extremely challenging on the teams’ own mental health but a passion and a commitment to care is what drives this inspirational team to continue to make a difference to the lives of others.

 

THE DEMENTIA SPECIALIST AWARD

Ajimshah is a dedicated and passionate dementia care nurse.  He adopts a person centred approach to care to promote wellbeing and independence.  Fundamental to his approach is to liaise with families to get to know an individual’s personal history, likes and dislikes and as such he is able to provide so much more than traditional ‘care’, going above and beyond to make residents’ wishes come true.

The Lifeways Learning and Development Team have designed and deliver an innovative in-house training programme that covers an incredibly wide range of subjects.  Training is delivered via a variety of platforms and is constantly reviewed and amended to ensure a continuous cycle of quality.  The approach to training is demand-led and results driven and make a real difference to the lives of the people the support.

Simona harnesses the power of technology and innovation in order to strengthen care delivery and promote positive outcomes for people in receipt of support and staff.  Simona has been instrumental in implementing electronic systems for care planning, compliance, medication and management. Her hands-on approach and commitment to the service deserve recognition.

 

THE INVALUABLE VOLUNTEER AWARD

Rachel has a learning disability and joined Compton View via volunteering.  She regularly gives up her own time to promote wellbeing for residents and her kind nature and caring qualities has led to her forging strong bonds. She is a great ambassador for Compton View and has even attended funerals on behalf of the company. Rachel is now an integral part of the team and a real asset to Compton View!
